Support for young people, families and individuals in a child led and person centred approach, enabling them to flourish.

Specialist Tuition

What is it?

Rather than teaching academic knowledge, specialist tuition is for the students that would benefit from a holistic and nurturing approach to understand how they work and learn best. This is available privately via caregivers or through their school / setting.

It could be learning strategies to support anxiety, mental health difficulties and increase self esteem. It may be that the young person is currently not in school or finds it difficult to attend (EBSA) and they need to feel supported in a safe and nurturing way before they are able to engage in academic learning again.

It could be about reinforcing knowledge in a way that works best for them and how their brain functions. For example, learning skills to support executive functioning difficulties or how to best revise.

If they are autistic and/or ADHD then it is focused time to learn and understand more about their identity in a neuro-affirming way. That their brain is just programmed differently, not less, a bit like the differences between the operating systems on a PC or a Mac!

Sessions can be in person at young persons home, in school or virtual.
